soux

Use soux with AI

The whole library is available over MCP, so the agent building your screen can search real security product UI and look at the best matches without leaving your editor.

It's read-only and needs no account. The endpoint is https://soux.stream/mcp.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http soux https://soux.stream/mcp

Add --scope user to make it available in every project.

Claude Desktop and claude.ai

Open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, name it soux, and paste this URL:

https://soux.stream/mcp

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or to .cursor/mcp.json for one:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "soux": { "url": "https://soux.stream/mcp" }
  }
}

VS Code

Add this to .vscode/mcp.json in the workspace, or run MCP: Open User Configuration to add it everywhere. Note that the top-level key is servers:

{
  "servers": {
    "soux": { "type": "http", "url": "https://soux.stream/mcp" }
  }
}

What it can do

search_shots
Filter by UI element, topic, domain and vendor, or search the text. Returns text rows only, so it's cheap.
“Find alert queues built as tables from SIEM vendors.”
view_shots
The images themselves, a few at a time, as thumbnails or full size.
“Show me the three strongest of those.”
compare_vendors
The best-matching shot from each of several vendors.
“How do different CNAPP vendors design their onboarding wizard?”
similar_shots
Other vendors solving the same problem as a shot you like.
“More like #1234, but from other companies.”
whats_new
Recently approved shots and newly added vendors. Also available as the soux://whats-new resource.
“What's been added to soux this week?”
get_shot
Everything about one shot: all its tags and the page it came from.
“Where was #1234 published?”
list_taxonomy
Which tag values have shots behind them, with counts.
“Which topics do the Wiz shots cover?”

There's also a design_brief prompt. Give it the screen you're designing and, if you like, a domain. It searches, looks, compares vendors, and writes a brief of the patterns it found, citing shot ids. For example: “design_brief: an empty state for a new cloud account, domain CNAPP”.

Every shot the tools return links back to its page here, so you can open whatever the agent cites. Tag names are forgiving: “modal” finds Popup, and “data table” finds Table.
